As gardeners, we can take the load off the planet by growing more food - and it's easier than you might think. In this inspiring new course, well known organic gardener Carolyn Herriot shares tips and techniques for creating edible landscapes which will provide organic vegetables, fruits and herbs year-round. This course will help you join the expanding "Grow Your Own" movement.

Regional food production creates food security and sustainable local food systems. Healthy soil grows nutritious food which nurtures healthy communities.

Glendale Gardens provides the perfect venue and resources to discover new ways to eat healthy, be garden smart and enjoy the best food possible-that which you have grown yourself.

During the year participants are encouraged to grow their own fruits and vegetables at home and volunteer time in developing the new seed saving garden at Glendale Gardens. Safeguarding food seeds is integral to sustainable food production.
